Development Approval – One approval or many?

For any given development the relevant planning scheme and the planning law will prescribe that a certain number of development approvals are required. Of course, if you are buying the property subject to obtaining a satisfactory development approval, then you need to decide, negotiate and agree with the seller what development approval/s must be obtained before you proceed. Ask your planner what development approvals will be required for the entire development, then discuss with your planner and lawyer which will be the hardest and/or the riskiest to obtain.
