Strata Tip #79: Settlement – Be good to your Agent

When preparing for settlement, make sure you have received all the necessary invoices from your Agent, you have clarified (in advance) any issues with the commission, outlays or expenses and once the settlements start to occur your lawyers are able to send emails to the Agent to release the deposits (including so the Agent can get paid).  If your Agent is handing over the keys and warranty documents then a happy Agent (one who is being paid promptly and progressively) can help connect the buyer’s joy of settlement with your brand.
