You’ve now accepted that there will be defects. What’s the best way to manage them? Different project teams (developer, architect and builder) will have different preferences but there are three golden rules. The first is to listen to the buyer and to keep them up to date. The second is to try and get the defects sorted before the builder has (finally) left the site. The third is persistence until each defect is resolved. Remember that resolution may not necessarily mean the defect is fixed or even that the issue is a defect.
