If you are going to use a bank there are two golden rules: read everything and ask questions. Ask questions about the process, the timing, the fees, the document package, the offer, settlement and operating requirements. Record the answers! When you get the answers use them to get ahead of where you need to be. Whenever the bank sends you anything read it – cover to cover – twice.
